Description
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to head our quality assurance team and drive the testing strategy across multiple software products. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on testing expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure high-quality releases. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality practices throughout the SDLC.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and implement QA strategy, processes, and best practices across projects
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manual and automation QA engineers
- Plan and prioritize test activities aligned with project timelines and release cycles
- Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Oversee manual and automated testing including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Track, manage, and report defects using bug tracking tools
- Establish and monitor QA metrics and KPIs to measure quality and team performance
- Drive continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration
- Conduct code and test coverage reviews to ensure adequate testing depth
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews
Candidate Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Work experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2 years in a QA lead or supervisory role
Professional skills: Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies, experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, proficiency in API testing using Postman or REST Assured, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), experience with test management tools such as TestRail or Jira, understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, basic scripting knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript, experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
